Jack Kerouac ain’t got nothin’ on me.

I’m a recent convert to the EV movement. While I had always fancied the idea of an electric vehicle, I always felt it was more of a pie in the sky abstraction destined to be dismissed by the general populace. But a new paradigm is emerging, escalating oil prices and increasing stability in the Middle East is forcing industry and the average American to reconsider alternatives. As we speak auto manufacturers are poised to release their own electric vehicles, but at a price many people cannot afford. The fairly inexpensive cost and practicality of an electric assisted bicycle, makes it the perfect candidate for an entry level EV.

That said, imagine my excitement when I found that I would be testing the _Diamondback Drifter… A chopper style bicycle with electric assist. Finally, a ride oustentageous enough for a sore thumb like me.
